About Sam K. Rodin

Ph.D., B.Sc(Econ), Dip.AT, Member of the British Autogenic Society

Sam Rodin

I am an autogenic therapist, stress management counsellor, university lecturer and writer based in North West London and I teach at the Open University. I have a doctorate in sociology and psychology from the University of Sheffield and, for many years was a senior lecturer and associate professor at universities in the UK, New Zealand and the USA. I serve on the Executive Committee of the British Autogenic Society.

I have many years of experience teaching and guiding students and clients. I am interested in the processes of healing and personal growth. In my work, I integrate aspects from several disciplines that aim to restore the wholeness of mind and body.

Autogenic Therapy, as a form of mind-body medicine, has enabled me to adopt an integrated approach to dealing with each client as a whole person – with mind, body and spirit - in the context of their life situation. I find that Autogenic Therapy’s emphasis on self-help fits perfectly with my educational philosophy of promoting the individual’s own capacity for self-awareness, self-reflection and realising their authentic self.

I will help you to help yourself improve your health and well-being and gain insight for your personal growth and development. The power of Autogenic Therapy is that it opens the way for you to access your own deep internal resources for healing, learning and growing.

Several years ago, when I myself was suffering from excessive stress, I found Autogenic Therapy very helpful for my own well-being and personal development. I was very impressed by the power of this simple method to restore health and well-being. I trained as an autogenic therapist and am passionate about teaching this self-help method as I have seen many clients transform their lives and feel empowered to heal themselves.
